‘China ready to help’

KATHMANDU: China has hinted that it could supply fuel to Nepal if the latter made such a request. During a regular press briefing in Beijing on Thursday,  Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said, “The Chinese side will continue to do its best to help Nepal in accordance with its request.” She also said Rasuwagadi-Kerung (also known as Jilung in China) border reopened on Wednesday after it was disrupted by the devastating April 25 earthquake and its aftershocks. “The Chinese side transferred a batch of assistance supplies to Nepal through the Rasuwagadi-Kerung border on Thursday morning,” said Hua.
