Hunan mountaineer completes base camp to 8,163 m summit in 21 hours 45 minutes

Chinese climber Li Haoting has recorded the fastest ascent by a Chinese national on Mt. Manaslu, reaching the true summit in just 21 hours and 45 minutes, Seven Summit Treks confirmed.
The 36-year-old Li began his climb from base camp at 12 noon on September 22 and arrived at the 8,163-metre summit at 9:45 a.m. on September 23, according to Tendi Sherpa, base camp manager for the expedition.
Li joined a larger international group that summited the same day, including Efraim Hingally, Jian Luo, Yuankai Zhao, Mohammadrezashahram Shahlaei, Wei Han Wu, Alasdair Scot McKenzie, and fellow Chinese climber He Jing, who notably climbed without supplemental oxygen.
Nepali Sherpas Jamling Bhote, Pemba Tasi Sherpa, Pasang Sherpa, Pema Rinje Sherpa, Pemba Chhiring Sherpa, Phurba Sonam Sherpa, Sonam Sherpa, and Sona Rinji Sherpa supported the ascent, the SST added.
