Nepal's northern neighbour China provided eight lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal on Monday.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi formally handed over the vaccines to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli amid a special event organised in Baluwatar-based PM's residence.

Addressing the event PM Oli said that the donation of the COVID-19 vaccines would help to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two nations.

Similarly, Prime Minister KP Oli said Nepal has received assistance of COVID-19 vaccines from both of its neighbours while also adding that the government too was in preparation to procure more vaccines for the people.
