KATHMANDU: At the friendly invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping is paying a state visit to Nepal commencing October 12, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said today.
During the visit, President Xi will meet with President Bhandari who will host a banquet in honour of her Chinese counterpart and the Chinese delegation.
It has been reported that the Chinese President will hold delegation-level official talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli where they will sign bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two nations.
Senior leaders of Nepal will call on President Xi during his sojourn in Kathmandu.
Before paying his visit to Nepal, Xi will also attend an informal meeting with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The Chinese president is set to leave Nepal on October 13.
