Chinese tourist arrivals up in Nepal

RASUWA: The number of Chinese tourists entering Nepal through the northern transit route in Rasuwa is increasing by the day.

Inspector Pramesh Bista of the District Police Office (DPO), Rasuwa, said a total of 21,016 Chinese tourists entered Nepal through Kyirong-Rasuwagadhi since April 12, 2016.

"More than 100 Chinese tourists are arriving on a daily basis," he said.

More than 100 containers arrive in Rasuwagadhi on a daily basis bringing the imported Chinese commodities and it has changed the marketplace's outlook instilling more vibrancy in it.

The arrival of Chinese tourists has helped in flourishing the trade and business in the area, Rasuwa Civil Society Chairman, Babulal Tamang said.
