Chitra KC wins

Baglung, April 20:

Chairman of the Rastriya Janamorcha Chitra Bahadur KC has been elected to the constituent assembly securing 12,594 votes from Baglung Constituency No 2.

KC’s nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Mani Bhadra Kandel, bagged 11,975 votes, while Lila Bahadur Thapa of Communist Party of Nepal-Unified netted 7,669 votes.

After the result, KC said his party would help declare the state a republic in the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly.

Saying that federalism will split the nation, KC said they are against federalism.
