Chitwan DAO makes public details of fuel distributed after blockade

As many as 54,283 liquefied petroleum gas cylinders have been distributed in Chitwan in the last three months since the blockade.
As per the information provided by the District Administration Office during a press conference, 13,602 Baba Gas cylinders, 10,981 Saibaba Gas cylinders and 8,857 Narayani Gas cylinders were distributed in Chitwan since the blockade at border checkpoints.
Similarly, 4,823 Janaki Gas cylinders, 5,198 Lokapriya Gas cylinders and 5,611 HP Gas cylinders were also distributed during the period, according to the DAO.
It, however, said that the cylinders so distributed were only half-filled.
Speaking at the press meet, Chief District Officer Binod Prakash Singh informed that the office had been facilitating cooking gas distribution in the district.
He also said that cooking gas cylinders were being distributed to people on the basis of card issued to them by their respective ward offices.
CDO Singh informed that around 1.022 million litres of diesel and 0.392 million litres of petrol were also distributed in the district since the blockade at border checkpoints.
