Chitwan denizens forced to eat unhealthy meat
CHITWAN: The denizens of Chitwan district are forced to eat 'unhealthy' meat after the lack of proper management of slaughter houses in the district.
Butchers in the district slaughter animals in the open while the surrounding is stinking due to wastes, complain locals.
Most of shops of in the district are established violating the code of conduct, affecting health of people.
More than 60 per cent meat shops lack renewed licences in the district. Likewise, no effective monitoring has been carried out on them. That means the denizens themselves are left to decide which meat is healthy and good enough to eat.
All the concerned stakeholders should be united to force the meat traders to maintain their meat shops hygienic.
