CHITWAN: A motorcyclist was killed after getting hit by a truck at Shanti Chok of Ratnanagar Municipality-3 in eastern part of Chitwan, on Tuesday.

Sangam Sapkota (24) of Khaireni in the district was critically injured when the motorcycle (Na 42 Pa 4851) he was riding on was struck from behind by the Bharatpur-bound truck (Na 4 Kha 9123), informed the Chitwan District Police Office.

He succumbed to injuries in course of treatment at the Chitwan Medical College the same night.

Police have detained the truck driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation.
