CHITWAN: Property worth around Rs 4 million was gutted in fire that broke out at Ganga Plaza supermarket in Ratnanagar of Chitwan district last night.

The fire broke out at 9:15 pm and quickly spread to Baby Store including other fancy stores within the complex located at Sauraha Chowk gutting clothes, furniture, shoes and other items, said District Police Office, Chitwan.

The preliminary indicators point to electrical short-circuit as the cause of the blaze. No human casualties have been reported.

The fire was extinguished with the help of fire engines dispatched from Bharatpur, police and the local residents, at around 10:30 pm.
