Three injured in truck collision along Prithvi Highway

CHITWAN: Three persons were injured when two trucks collided with each other at Darechok-7 in Chitwan district along the Prithvi Highway on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Pashupati Thapa (40) of Makawanpur, Bimal Ale Magar (22) and Raju Lama (28) of Dolakha.

One of the trucks (Na 6 Kha 8127) was en route to Narayangadh from Kathmandu when it collided with the other truck (Na 5 Kha 8662) coming from the opposite direction at around 3:30 am today, according to the Chitwan District Police Office.

Police said Lama was the driver of the former truck while Thapa was the driver of the latter truck and Magar was his helper.

All three injured have been rushed to Kathmandu for treatment.

Police have reopened the road that remained blocked following the truck collision.
