Truck plunges downhill, passengers safe
CHITWAN: A truck veered off the road and plunged downhill towards the Trishuli River near Phisling area of Chitwan district along the Prithvi Highway on Friday.
The truck (Na 5 Kha 7394) en route to Muglin from Kathmandu fell around 65 feet down the road at 3 am today, but stopped short before reaching the River, police said.
Three persons travelling on board the truck, including the driver, are reportedly safe, according to the Chitwan District Police Office.
The incident site is located at Darechok VDC-9, 13 km north-east of Muglin towards Kathmandu.
