CHITWAN: A woman was found hanging in a room at Madi Municipality of Chitwan district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Sangita Ranabhat (23) of Kirtanpur in the Municipality.

According to the Chitwan District Police Office, the reason behind her apparent suicide is yet to be ascertained.

It has been learned that she was still mourning the death of her son, Sonis, who succumbed to his illness around a month ago, police said.

Her body has been sent to the Bharatpur Hospital for autopsy.
