Chitwan woman killed in tiger attack

CHITWAN: A woman was killed in a tiger attack incident near the Elephant Breeding Center of Chitwan National Park in Sauraha, Chitwan on Monday.

Janaki Chaudhary (25) of Ratnanagar Municipality-17 has been killed in the attack, said police.

The woman was collecting fodders in the forest while she was fatally attacked by the wild mammal.

According to the police, Chaudhary was seriously injured and died on spot. Her body has been taken to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem.

Kamal Jung Kunwar, Warden of the Chitwan National Park, said, "As many as four people were killed by tiger attack last year in the Chitwan National Park. This one is the first case for this year."
