KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 20

American climber Christopher Bernard Warner today scaled Mt Manaslu completing his 14th peak above 8000m.

According to Pemba Sherpa, Managing Director at 8K Expeditions, Chris Warner has become the second American to summit all fourteen 8000m mountains.

Earlier, Seattle-based climber Ed Viesturs had climbed all 14 peaks becoming the first American to do so.

"Chris along with Chhiring Sherpa from 8K Expeditions stood atop the real summit point at around 3:20am," Pemba said. Chris climbed Nanga Parbat, G1, G2, Broad Peak and Manaslu with 8K, Sherpa added.
