CIAA arrests 2 Banke Revenue Dept officials red handed with kickback
KATHMANDU: A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Contact Office, Kohalpur has arrested two employees of Revenue Investigation Mid and Far Western Office red-handed with a bribe of Rs 5,70,000.00 in Banke district on Thursday.
The arrestee has been identified as an Investigation Officer Bhim Prasad Ghimire and a Computer Operator Gobind Bahadur Shahi working at the Kohalpur-based Revenue Investigation regional office.
Acting on a tip-off, the anti-graft body arrested the duo while they were taking a kickback from customers in the office premises.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, stated the CIAA.
