KATHMANDU: The anti-graft body on Monday has pressed corruption charges against 16 officials including Chief Kamal Prasad Timalsina of Land Revenue Office in Chabahil after they were found to have worked in tandem with real estate middlemen to illegally transfer property in latter’s name.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed the case at Special Court accusing the government officials of accepting bribe to tamper with property registration papers of original landowner to inflict losses, deviating from their oaths of safeguarding property rights and demanded Rs 60 million in compensation from the accused.
