Accusing the administration of turning the peaceful citizen's protest violent by using force on unarmed, civil demonstrators, the group said it is launching the movement against every form of regression.

The first people's movement of 1990 brought an end to absolute monarchy, the Panchayat form of governance, instated constitutional monarchy and multi-party democracy system.

Likewise, the second people's movement overthrew monarchy, ushered republicanism, secularism and federal system. It also paved way for the Maoist rebels' entry into mainstream politics.
