Citizens are no guinea pigs: Thapa

Kathmandu, March 31:

Former prime minister and Chairman of the Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP), Surya Bahadur Thapa, today charged the King, the political parties and the Maoists with making

the country a ‘laboratory’ and people ‘guinea pigs’ to test their respective road maps.

“I urge all of you to stop treating the people as guinea pigs,” the Rastriya Janashakti Party supremo Thapa said at an interaction at the party office, Kamalpokhari, today.

Thapa said their road maps have failed. “Instead they have pushed the country towards a being failed state and misfortune,” he said.

He warned of international intervention in the name of saving the state if the country became a failed state.

The Rastriya Janashakti Party co-chairman Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani emphasised on the need of consensus to end the current imbroglio.

“We have seen several road maps, which have become ineffective,” Lohani said adding that the middle path, taken by the RJP, was the best means. “Extremism will drag the country towards more trouble,” he said.
