PALPA: Service seekers have been compelled to return home empty-handed after the Rampur Area Administration Office stopped providing citizenship certificate in absence of its chief.

More than 90 forms have been collected but the distribution was stopped after office Chief Kiran Chandra Subedi's transfer on November 1, informed Acting office Chief Binod Bista.

The Rampur Area Administration Office is responsible of distributing citizenship certificates to residents of seven VDCs along with Rampur Municipality.

Meanwhile, Chief District Officer Baburam Gautam said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has been informed about the problem.
