Civil servants need to change working style: CM Poudel
Hetauda, September 8
Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today said that his government had not been able to function as expected due to the traditional mindset of civil servants.
Inaugurating the annual general meeting of Shramik Saving and Credit Cooperative in Hetauda, Poudel said civil servants were not positive about federalism. “Government employees are still working with the old mindset, which is hindering government functioning,” he claimed and added that unless civil servants changed their working style, the government could not function efficiently.
Poudel also urged cooperatives to expand their business and network. “Cooperatives should be linked with production and jobs,” he said. Inaugurating a newly-constructed building of DibyasewaNiketan Elderly Home inHetauda, Poudel said all should respect senior citizens. “If we respect senior citizens now, we will be respected later,” he added. The elderly home is providing shelter to 33 elderly people currently.
