BAJURA, MAY 23
In a bid to address the situation of acute shortage of oxygen, Civil society today donated 10 oxygen cylinders to Bajura District Hospital.
According to the Hospital Chief Dr Prakash Jaishi, as many as ten big cylinders were handed over to the hospital to deal with the crisis.
According to a member of the civil society, people from all walks of lives including non-Nepali residents also came forward to offer their financial support to acquire the cylinders.
The cylinders were procured in co-ordination with the Chief District Officer of Banke Shiva Ram Galal cylinders and dispatched to Bajura at a time when there is a an all-round shortage of oxygen and rampant black-marketing, informed Martadi Market Management Committee Chairman Chakra Malla.
Social activist Bir Bahadur Bista said, "Chief District Officer Gopal Adhikari handed-over the cylinders to the hospital."
Dr Jaishi further added that as the hospital was struggling with the oxygen crunch, the civil society's action has brought a huge relief to the hospital."
The hospital sends cylinders to Dhangadhi to refill medical oxygen.
