CJ seeks security bodies help to open Kailali court
KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Anup Raj Sharma today urged the government authorities to take initiatives to open the Kailali District Court which has been shut from the past three days due to the protest staged by the UCPN-Maoist.
Holding a meeting with top security officials today, the CJ urged them to help resume the court business with immediate effect. During the meeting with Home Secretary Dr Govinda Kusum, Inspector General of Nepal Police Ramesh Chand Thakuri and Inspector General of Armed Police Force Sanat Kumar Basnet in the Supreme Court, CJ Sharma drew the attention of the security officials. "Since it is a matter of grave concern which is related with justice dispensation, the CJ asked the senior security officials to cooperate in order to resume the court business," said Dr Ram Krishna Timalsena, Registrar, SC.
