CK Raut held in Gaur

District Police Office Rautahat today arrested Coordinator of Free Madhes Alliance CK Raut on the charge of airing remarks in different places aimed at disintegrating the country, from Rautahat headquarters Gaur.
District police office said that Raut was nabbed as he was disturbing law and order and airing remarks against the state and nationality.
Police had arrested Raut from district court Rautahat. He was at the court to receive a general date as case against him is under way there. Police had arrested Raut while he was leaving the court.
Rautahat police Chief SP Kedar Dhakal said Raut was nabbed on the charge of treason. According to Dhakal, Raut is in police custody. Police have also arrested Free Madhes Alliance Rautahat Coordinator Ashok Singh, Co-coordinator Birendra Das, and cadres Dipendra Chaudhary, Rameswor Ray Yadav and Sanjaya Sworaj.
Supporters of CK Raut staged a sit-in in front of DPO saying he was taken under control for no reason. Police had used force to remove them from the sit-in site. Around one dozen FMA cadres were injured when police baton-charged them.
Meanwhile, Siraha police arrested ten FMA activists from the premises of Siraha DAO today. According to DSP Madhav Raj Kharel, Raut’s cadres were arrested as they tried to create riot while they were at the DAO to submit a memorandum with the demand to investigate the death of FMA cadre Ram Manohar Yadav in police custody.
The arrested are Satila Yadav, Manish Yadav, Baleswor Yadav, Shuvlal Mahato, Raj Kumar Yadav, Jitan Yadav, Gyan Kamati, Pappu Yadav, Raj Kumar Yadav and Ram Sugan Yadav. They have been remanded to custody and a case has been filed against them, said DSP Kharel.
