BHOJPUR: A clash erupted after local people and student unions vandalised and torched the stage constructed by United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) at Khetikhola of Itahari in Sunsari district on Friday.

The local people and the student unions vandalised the stage from where the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav and other leaders of the UDMF were scheduled to address a mass meeting today.

Security at different junction of the area is tightened after the incident.
