Clash in Taulihawa
Kapilvastu, February 11:
Security forces today opened fire on the Maoists as the latter detonated bombs in several places in Taulihawa, including at the office building of the Banganga Water Consumers’ Federation, today, Security sources said that the clashes were continuing till late at night. No casualty was reported.
A clash ensued between security forces and the Maoists at Arghau of Lekhnath last night as the Maoists opened fire on the personnel deployed at the station of the Arghau-based Gandaki Hydel Project, an employee of the powerhouse, Laxman Chaudhari, said. No casualties were reported.
The Maoists had opened fire on the security forces from behind the control room of the station, a security source said. Two explosions were heard before the firing.
Meanwhile, two Maoists, who were killed in a security operation at a Lakeside (Pokhara)-based hotel on Thursday, were identified as commander of the Maoists’s special task force, Atal, and vice-commander, Roshan, a Maoist source said.
