Classes disrupt after roof collapses in Baitadi school
BAITADI: Teaching and learning activities have been disrupted at Kedar Secondary School in Kathmada of Surnaya Rural Municipality in Baitadi district after the roof of the school building collapsed due to continuous rainfall.
The incident has caused damages of more than Rs 20 million, said the school principal, Birendra Bahadur Chand.
The entire roof of the school building has collapsed, completely destroying the library. Computers have also been damaged in the incident.
The classes have to be operated in the open after classrooms have also been damaged due to the roof collapse, Chand said. The school runs classes up to Grade 12 and has more than 420 students.
