The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation on Friday confirmed the death of Pavel Kalny on Mt Lhotse.

Kalny, 39, from the Czech Republic and a member of the Norwegian Lhotse Expedition 2006 team, died on Wednesday after falling from a cliff at an altitude of 8300 metres, the ministry said. Meanwhile, the Chilean Lhotse Expedition team successfully summitted Mt Lhotse on May 12-13, a mountaineering source said. Eleven of the 12-member-team conquered the
