KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 24
A team of international climbers and Sherpas from the 14 Peaks Expedition has successfully reached the true summit of Mt. Manaslu today morning, according to Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, CEO of 14 Peaks Expedition.
Among the summiteers were climbers from several countries, including China, Switzerland, the USA, Russia, and India, alongside the Sherpa team from Nepal.
Shutong Han from China and Sona Sherpa from Makalu, Sankhuwasabha, were the first to reach the summit at 4:30 AM.
Shortly after, at 4:45 AM, Swiss climber Annemie Ruth Kostezer, along with Americans Jeremiah Michael Cahow and William Dean Cahow, joined the summit alongside Phunuru Sherpa, Ang Karma Sherpa, Ming Sona Sherpa, and Tshering Tendi Sherpa, all from Solukhumbu, Nepal.
By 5:30 AM, Indian climber Angad Grewal and Nepal's Dawa Chhiring Sherpa had also reached the peak.
The final group, which included Russian climbers Vladimir Kotlyar, Anastasiia Giliazova, Aleksei Kozlov, and Kseniia Abramova, along with Sherpas Tashi Sherpa, Pemba Chhombi Sherpa, and Mingma Jangbu Sherpa, summited at 7:00 AM.
"We are incredibly proud of our international climbers and Sherpa team for this remarkable achievement," Sherpa said.
