Province 3 Chief Minister DormaniPoudel today visited Rudra Batika constructed in the name of insurgency-era martyr Rudra Pakhrin at Makranchuli of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality in Makwanpur.

CM Poudel said plans should be devised for the park’s development. He said that his government would collaborate with the rural municipality for developing the park into a tourist destination.

At the programme, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Shalikram Jamakattel said that the park should be upgraded keeping in view social and cultural aspects. Bakita Management Committee Man Kumari Nepali had briefed CM Poudel, Minister Jamakattel and other visitors on the contribution of martyr Pakhrin.

Rudra Pakhrin, who was affiliated to then Maoist Party was killed in the insurgency. The construction of the Batika had started in 2007.
