Committed to curbing corruption, says Gurung

Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Sabitri Thapa Gurung said the anti-graft body would leave no stone unturned to check corruption.

Speaking at an interaction “Role of CIAA in curbing corruption” organised by CIAA’s Itahari office in Diktel today, Commissioner Gurung appealed to all stakeholders to remain vigilant as chances of irregularities taking place were high with powers delegated to the local levels.

“Every citizen should play a role in curbing corruption,” she said.  In a different context, Commissioner Gurung claimed that the CIAA was taking action against all corrupt irrespective of their positions. She also said that preparation was under way to restructure the CIAA as per the federal set-up,” she said.
