A concrete bridge is going to be constructed over the Ghatmuna River that connects Badimalika Municipality and Gaumul Rural Municipality in Bajura.
According to Gaumul Rural Municipality Chairperson Hari Bahadur Rokaya, construction process of the bridge has started.
The bridge to be built under the Federal Affairs and General Administration Ministry, and is estimated to cost somewhere around 75 million rupees. "As the construction process has already begun, it won't be long before transportation will operate regularly to Gaumul Rural Municipality from the district headquarters Martadi," said federal parliamentarian Lal Bahadur Thapa.
Gaumul Rural Municipality lies some 12-km from the Bajura district headquarters Martadi.
There are two rivers on the way.
While contract-signing process for a concrete bridge over the Bahuli River near Martadi is on, with the bridge construction process over the Bhatmuna River too initiated, regular transportation to Gaumul Rural Municipality will be possible once the bridges are ready.
Of the 12-km road between Martadi and Gaumul, black topping of six kilometre road has begun.
Black-topping of the six-km stretch is expected to be completed by the end of this fiscal.
The black topping of the road is happening under Infrastructure Development Office, Sanfebagar, under the provincial government.
Meanwhile, the process of constructing concrete bridges over the two rivers have made the residents in Gaumul Rural Municipality and other nearby places happy. Now, blacktopping of roads to link the offices of Gaumul and Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality has also begun.
