Kathmandu, January 16:

UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal today said formation of a new Nepal would not be possible if all political forces are not included in the process.

Addressing a function organised to pay tribute to late Govinda Biyogi, former president of the Editors’ Society Nepal, he said: “The government should seriously consider the demands put forth by those who are raising arms recently (Nepal was talking about Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha though he did not articulate the name) and include them for forming a new Nepal. The front (JTMM) is an armed group that recently launched a rebellion, demanding separate state of the Madhesi people.

“We didn’t pay much attention to the Maoists when they had submitted a charter of 40-point demands to the then Sher Bahadur Deuba government. The same Maoists came to the present situation,” he said. Rastriya Prajatantra Party chief Pashupati Sumsher Rana asked politicians and journalists to learn from the late Biyogi. UML leader Raghuji Panta asked journalists to point out mistakes made by the government.

FNJ President Bishnu Nisthuri said it was the responsibility of the MPs to take the nation to the desired destination, as the Nepalis have given them that responsibility.
