DAMAK: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has called on the government to withdraw the Constitution amendment bill registered at the Parliament.

Speaking at a programme organised to mark the golden jubilee of Mahendra Ratna Secondary School at Lopgachhi-3 of the district, the former PM said, “The Constitution amendment proposal has resulted in political crisis.”

He reiterated that the parliamentary business would not resume until the amendment proposal was taken back.

Urging the government to enable political environment for political consensus and collaboration by withdrawing the proposal, he stressed the need to create an election-conducive atmosphere as holding local election would be the only constitutional way out.
