‘Constitution amendment process on’

Janakpurdham, September 25

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi today said that the government was preparing the process of constitution amendment to address the concerns of the Madhesi community.

Speaking at a function in Janakpur today, DPM Nidhi claimed that the government was preparing the amendment to the statute as per the agreement between the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front and the government in the past.

“The country must not witness any agitation and the constitution should be fully implemented for political stability and overall development of the country. It is the responsibility of all the parties to hold polls of all three levels in accordance with the spirit of the statute,” said Nidhi.

He appealed to all the forces to be ready to amend the constitution, said that the government had paved the way for establishing Janakpur as a provincial capital with the declaration that a high court would be established in the city.

Inaugurating a new police post at Kapileshwor of Janakpur Sub-metropolis, he directed security personnel to be alert to safeguard peace and security in the country. Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal also was present at the function.

Minister Nidhi unveiled books written by Maithili linguist Professor Ramavatar Yadav and Digambar Jha, respectively.
