Constituent Assembly chairman Subas Chandra Nembang today urged people in the district to involve themselves in the constitution-writing process.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Radio Tamor 102 Mhz here today, Nembang asked them not to doubt that the constitution would be drafted on time.

“The political parties and the CA members are doing their best to write a people-oriented constitution,” Nembang said, urging people to form committees, make drafts of constitution and hand them over to the CA members elected from their area. He also said the constitution-writing process was not gaining pace because the CA was busy making a clear road map of ‘New Nepal’.

“The issues of federalism have been raised by the people of all regions through several approaches and discussions,” Nembang added.

Meanwhile, people of the district also submitted a memorandum to Nembang and other lawmakers urging them to do the needful for the development of the district. They reminded Nembang about the delay in blacktopping the Suketar airport and Mechi Highway.
