Four years on since the construction of an old age home in Biratnagar started.  However, the old age home is yet get shape.

Construction of Pathibhara Old Age Home had started towards the beginning of 2014 with an estimated one year deadline for the completion of the project.

The facility being built with financial support of Non-residential Nepalese Association-Australia has been in limbo as the construction work is halted for the past one year. The estimated cost of the facility is around Rs 55 million.

Mayor Bhim Parajuli of Biratnagar metropolis attributed delay in completion of the project to lack of coordination between NRNA and the metropolis.

“Ever since I assumed office, I’ve found that delay is caused by negligence on the part of NRNA to provide fund as pledged,” he added.
