POKHARA: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yu Hong, has said the construction of Pokhara International Airport would begin soon.

Speaking at a programme organised by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday, Ambassador Hong urged the stakeholders to have patience for some time as the construction process has already moved ahead.

She expressed the view that Chinese Embassy has helped bring in more tourists to Nepal, saying natural heritages, lakes and ponds have become prime tourism destination for Chinese tourists.

Similarly, Chamber President Bishwo Shankar Palikhe urged the Chinese Ambassador to pay special attention to expedite the construction of Pokhara International Airport.
