Coordinate with local reps, says Pandit

Rautahat, October 9

Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Lalbabu Pandit has instructed civil servants to coordinate with local representatives while discharging their duties.

Addressing civil servants working at various local levels, who were present at Rautahat District Coordination Committee Office in Gaur today, the minister spoke of difficulties and challenges facing the country at present and asked them to work with patience and high morale.

“As now we have three levels of government unlike in the past, there will obviously be difficulties, but I have hope that the difficulties will fade away soon and you will do your best by coordinating with the local representatives,” he told the participants, adding, “It’s natural for any country to face difficulties at major junctures. Now we are in such a phase, but I believe the difficulty won’t last long.”

Commenting on concerns about lack of employees at the local levels, the minister informed that preparations were on to induct new employees through the Public Service Commission.

“For one, we’ve initiated the process of taking in more first and second class non-gazetted officers. Regarding employees working on contract and temporary bases, they could be retained where they are needed,” he said.

“As to what to do with them, a provision is being prepared to keep necessary staff and see off those who are not needed by providing them three months’ salary,” he said.
