Cop injured in Jumla attack
JUMLA: A policeman was injured after an unidentified group fired a gun targeting the police team that was patrolling the district headquarters in Jumla district at around 8:00 on Saturday evening.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bishnu Hari Koirala said that police constable Dipak Rokaya was injured in the incident.
Rokaya, who has sustained injuries in his hand and stomach, is receiving treatment at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences in Jumla. The Academy said that condition of injured Rokaya is out of danger.
DSP Koirala confirmed that a person was held with an automatic pistol.
Further investigations into the incident were underway, police said.
