POKHARA: The Community Police Service Centre in Baidam has destroyed around 1,500 cannabis plants spread in Sarangkot, a tourist destination in Pokhara, on Monday.

A team of service centre personnel, local representatives of drug control campaign, youth club members and mothers’ group members destroyed the plants at Dhakal Thar, Padheli and Gothadi in Sarangkot.

According to Community Police Service Centre Chairperson Mina Bhattarai, the team destroyed the cannabis plants thriving at public places and private land in the area.
