Corruption will bring disaster to NCP in next polls, warns Rawal

Pokhara, September 29

Nepal Communist Party leader (NCP) Bhim Rawal today warned that the party would face disaster in the next polls if the NCP’s local level representatives were mired in corruption.

Addressing a programme organised by NCP Kaski in Pokhara, Rawal directed party cadres and leaders to refrain from corruption and other wrongdoings. “Such acts will ruin both the party and persons,” he stated.

Rawal argued that although forming a two-thirds majority government in the 70-year history of communist party in Nepal was a great achievement, the faith people had placed on the incumbent government would fade away if leaders and people’s representatives got mired in corruption.

Rawal admitted that the government had failed to meet the needs and expectations of people and argued that it was vain of the Nepali Congress to blame the government for doing nothing as the party too had done nothing when it was at the helm for a long time.
