Country has entered new era: PM
Bara, April 1
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today said the country had entered a new era.
Laying the foundation stone of Garment Processing Area at the under-construction Special Economic Zone at Aauraha of Jitpursimara Sub-metropolis, Bara, Oli held that opening of the garment processing centre was the first step to developing export-oriented economy. He argued that the country had entered a new era and no one could stop the journey towards prosperity.
Oli stated that his government would end disease, hunger, poverty and backwardness from the country. Noting that anything could be changed except country and geography, Oli held that the statute could be amended if it met the needs and demands of the people.
Oli noted that India, China and many other countries had joined hands for the development and prosperity of the country. “India is ready to help Nepal. During my India visit, India will commit to support Nepal in her development,” Oli added. Nepal-India ties have moved ahead on the ground of mutual benefit.
Oli said his government had accorded top priority to peace, security, corruption control, and social goodwill. “Diversity is an asset of our country and it should be preserved,” he said.
Oli urged Netra Bikram Chand and his party not to disturb and terrorise people and disrupt social harmony for donation. “Now, the country has moved ahead on the path of development and prosperity. Anarchy and violence will not be acceptable at any rate,” Oli said.
Oli described the thrashing of women on the charge of practising black arts and the rape of girls as evil acts. He warned that the guilty would not be spared at any cost.
At the programme, Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut held that they had got the seat but not power to govern. Raut stressed the need to have separate security mechanism in the province. He pointed out the list of problems facing the province.
In response, PM Oli said, “A new home has many problems. There are many demands and needs. We have to manage the problems and move ahead”. Stating that Province 2 had great potential, Oli argued that the province had lagged behind due to lack of awareness not lack of resources.
