Nepal on Wednesday reported 104 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,973.

Of the newly infected, 46 are females and 58 are males.

In the last 24 hours, 32 cases surfaced in Kathmandu district while Lalitpur reported 11 cases and Bhaktapur reported two new cases. Among all the districts, Kathmandu holds the highest number of infections in the country.

Likewise, 63 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 271,050 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 911.

The nationwide death-toll remains 3,012 with zero Covid-related fatality reported today.

According to the health ministry, 3,488 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,203,438 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 55 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Tuesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 274,869 with 59 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 118 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.6 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 93 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
