KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 8
The Pokhara High Court has issued a temporary order allowing Lakeside, the tourist hub of Pokhara, to operate 24 hours a day.
Today, a single bench of High Court Judge Rajan Prasad Bhattarai issued the order in the name of the District Administration Office Kaski, permitting businesses in Lakeside to remain open around the clock.
This order was issued in response to a petition filed by Devi Kumari Baral, seeking a directive to prevent the local administration from restricting business operations in the lakeside area beyond midnight.
The court has also instructed the defendant to submit a written response within 15 days, outlining the grounds, reasons, and evidence for imposing restrictions on business activities in the tourist hub outside regular operating hours.
