Special hospital designated for treatment of COVID-19 in Beljhundi of Dang has run out of beds. The hospital with 25-bed capacity is now providing treatment to 26 patients infected with coronavirus.

Five of the patients are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit while the remaining twenty-one patients are admitted in the general ward, hospital manager Drona Oli said. Most of these patients hail from Ghorahi, Tulsipur, Shantinagar and Rolpa, respectively.

The Coronavirus Special Hospital has been set up at Ayurved Teaching Hospital inside Nepal Sanskrit University where only the ground floor of the three-storey building has been utilised to treat patients. "It could further be upgraded to a 55-bed hospital if required, said Oli.

Oli, however, complained of not receiving regular funds from the government. "It has been 9 months since we received funds from the provincial government," Oli said, "We are currently operating by taking loan," he added
