CPN Maoist Centre will clinch third position in upcoming elections: Dahal

HETAUNDA: CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his party will clinch third position in the upcoming provincial and parliamentary elections.

He said that the party's split and disruption in party's organisational structure was the cause behind party's results in earlier elections.

"Out party should have been number one, however, due to split, Maoist couldn't achieve the utmost results as we split in the wrong time," Dahal lamented.

"We also want to become number 1 party but, it's not how you perceive, we are satisfied with respectful third position in the upcoming polls," Dahal said so while addressing media in Makwanpur today.

He also said that other parties are following footsteps of Maoist agendas. Former Dahal also said that the current Cabinet is too big but it's the demand of the time.

CPN Maoist leader Dahal also said that the current election system is expansive n too hassle. It's almost impossible for a simple and humble leader to contest in this elections system.

It's time to make propositional representation election system more flexible by bringing in more related laws, Dahal stressed.

The Provincial and Parliamentary elections are scheduled for November 26 and December 7.
