KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 2

CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Narpura Buda has secured victory in the by-election for the position of Vice-Chairperson of Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality.

In the by-election held on Sunday, Buda defeated Kesh Kumari Tulachan, the candidate representing the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress alliance, with a decisive margin of 1,499 votes. Buda garnered 3,627 votes, while Tulachan received 2,128 votes.

Additionally, Jagat Gharti of the CPN (Maoist Centre) had already been unanimously elected as the Ward Chairperson for Ward No. 2 in the same rural municipality.

The by-election, conducted on December 1, aimed to fill 41 vacant positions across various local levels nationwide.
