Kathmandu, March 24

The CPN-Maoist Centre has relieved its ministers of the party posts as per its ‘one person one post’ policy.

Minister of Energy, Water and Irrigation Barshman Pun has been removed from the post of Province-5 in-charge and Minister of Forest and Environment Shakti Basnet from the post of Province 6 in-charge. Minister of Supply Matrika Yadav has been relieved of his party post of Province 2 in-charge.

Likewise, Chief whip Dev Gurung was removed from the post of Province 4 in-charge.

CPN-MC leader Ram Karki has been named Province 1 in-charge. The post had fallen vacant after Gopal Kirati quit the party, expressing dissatisfaction with the party’s decision to unify with the CPN-UML.
