The results of second phase of the civic polls till this evening show that Nepali Congress is leading in Province 7.

Till date, the results of 81 local levels have been announced. Among these local levels, the NC has triumphed in 36 places, while the CPN-UML has pocketed 34 places. CPN-Maoist Centre is trailing far behind winning eight places. Nepal Forum Democratic has won one local body.

The NC won six places each in Bajura, Achham and Baitadi, five places in Darchula, four places each in Dadeldhura and Bajhang. The party has been elected in three places in Doti and two places each in Kailali and Kanchanpur.

Similarly, CPN-UML has won eight local levels in Bajhang, five places in Doti and Kailali. The party won three places each in Baitadi, Darchula, Achham and Bajura and two places each in Dadeldhura and Kanchanpur.

Likewise, the CPN-Maoist Centre won two places in Kailali and one place each in Kanchanpur, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Achham, and Baitadi.  Nepal Democratic Forum has won one place in Kailali.

Province 7 has one sub-metropolis, 33 municipalities and 54 rural municipalities. Results of seven local levels are yet to be announced.
